Adults often reflect on their past childhood experiences and remember the piano lessons they took. Their parents would often force the children to take lessons when they did not want to do it. Many young children would rather play and have fun or watch television instead of practicing away at a keyboard.
The parents will often give up if the child is so against the time necessary to devote to learning the basics of playing the piano.
